iTero uses ground breaking technology that completely eliminates the need for the traditional putty impressions. Instead, it consists of amazingly accurate digital models of your teeth, gums and jaws.
This technology is available here at Bendigo Family Dental Care and will give you and your dentist incredible 3d images of your teeth and mouth that will be instantaneous. It can lead to better communication during your consultations and a faster treatment process.
How Does it Work?
By the use of a compact, hand-held scanning wand, your dentist will simply insert it into your mouth and the 3d model will be transferred to a computer screen for analysis. Your dentist can stop the scan at any time and can start again, if necessary. It is entirely less invasive that traditional methods and does not involve the terrible putty that fills your mouth making you feel on edge and uncomfortable.
The iTero laser is totally radiation free and your scan can be completed in a matter of 2-3 minutes. Once your scan is complete, there will be a perfect digital 3d model of your teeth, mouth and soft tissues that can be emailed or used in milling machine technology to create dentures, Invisalign alignment trays, Crowns and Bridges.
